Is this a practical or an awareness course?
It is an awareness course. It covers the law, the risks and the controls in depth. If your duties include hands-on work at height, you will also need practical training, which we can help you arrange.
What counts as working at height?
Any place where a person could fall a distance likely to cause injury, or where dropped materials could injure someone below. That includes ladders and stepladders and work near trenches, not only roofs, scaffolds and raised platforms.
How long does it take, and is there a test?
Around 105 minutes of video content, with a short assessment. Learners need 70% to pass each module and can retake it if they need to.
Do you get a certificate?
Yes. You can download and print your certificate as soon as you pass.
